An impressive converted barn in the West Sussex countryside.
The requirement was to generate heat and hot water in an economically and environmentally sustainable way and to reduce the property’s reliance on oil. Baystar carried out a detailed feasibility study, which established that due to the amount of land on site, a ground source heat pump would provide the best return on investment.
Baystar installed a 20kW ground source heat pump which is served by 7 x 42m trenches. Baystar used their expertise to overcome the challenging groundworks, ensuring the works remained on schedule.
A project of this size will have a fuel cost saving of approximately 30%.
