Once Solar PV is installed, it can be controlled and channelled throughout your property to specific areas using a simple, easy-to-use phone app.  Extra electricity can be stored in batteries to be used when the sun goes down or fed back to the National Grid for financial gain, making it a great way to keep your energy bill costs down. 

Your Baystar technician can also install an EV (electric vehicle) charging point that draws power directly from your Solar PV array, looking after your home and company travel finances too.

We have in-house access to some of the most advanced technologies available, like Integrated Inverters that allow you to manage the entire system from an app, for example prioritizing car charging or hot water at certain times throughout the day.  These technologies also allow you to back up energy during a power outage. A common misconception many people have is that power outages won’t affect those with PV panels and battery storage. Unfortunately, safety features mean that outages actually also restrict solar arrays from being used. However, certain manufacturers have now released backup plug-ins for just that purpose. Your Baystar team can run you through all the different models and manufacturers and give you the best advice as to which system is best for you.

Every property or development is unique, not just because of the actual design of the Solar PV array, also because of its position relative to the sun. It’s all the more important, then, that every project we take on has a bespoke solution designed by our in-house engineers and technicians. After carefully consulting with you about your needs, and taking into account the particulars and Usage profile, we create a bespoke proposal outlining exactly what we can deliver, and the likely cost.

Design
Our team come to your property for their first site visit to map the roof areas, look at whether battery storage is right for the project, where we could can site the equipment and plan access.. Working to either existing or proposed roof plans, we map out the panels’ position in our software . Then the real fun begins, mainly because we get to use our incredible IT technology to map out the best sun spots on your house, revealing which areas of your roof collect the most amount of sunlight throughout the day. With this crucial information, we can plan the best locations to lay the Solar PV panels for maximum photon collection.

The Fit
Our work usually takes place during three particular phases of any property: the build, the refurb, or the ‘retrofit’. During a build or a refurb (house extension, building renovation), construction teams are usually already on site, so our team can get stuck straight in with the rest of them. A ‘retrofit’ project simply means that we’re the only project happening at that time. Once the property is fully scaffolded to give us access to the roof, our team move only the essential tiles, then install the panels, the inverter, and battery cables, before plugging the system into the existing consumer board and replacing the original tiles. The job can take anywhere from one week up to a couple of months, dependent on the size of the project.

AFTERCARE
Always There
Once everything is installed and running perfectly, we don’t just leave you holding the proverbial baby. We ensure the panels are fully registered with DNO (your relevant power network), who need to know that you’re now using solar energy and will be feeding it back into the grid. We’ll arrange the official warranty with the Solar PV panel manufacturer, and provide a fully comprehensive handover to troubleshoot any issues, certificates for all the electrical systems, and any extra information we think you may need in the future. We’ll answer any questions you have post-fit and we can return annually to make sure your panels are fully serviced and covered for warranty.

Renewable Maintenance

Your Renewable Energy System is a long-term investment and so maintaining it is just as important as the installation. Baystar work in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure that the warranty remains valid. We can offer a fully insured maintenance contract for all new installations, or we can be called to service installations laid down by other companies. All our engineers are fully certified and trained to the highest standards, with years of experience in maintaining bespoke renewable systems.
