A main farmhouse with 4 offices set in 18 acres of land, with 50 acres of adjoining woodland.
The requirement was that the boiler would be able to use the farm’s own supply of wood chips if the woodland was brought into management, and to use wood pellets as fuel in the meantime.
Baystar installed a 199kW biomass boiler (wood chip or wood pellet) and district heating system to heat the main farmhouse and 4 offices. As well as the heating scheme, Baystar built a plant-room and custom built store with auger feeder arm to feed the boiler.
