The Borde Hill Estate extends to 2,300 acres, the majority of which is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The estate contains the Borde Hill Garden and four let farms.
The requirement was to design and install a biomass system to utilise chip produced from the neighbouring estate.
Baystar installed a 201kW woodchip biomass district system to heat the large manor house and nearby tenanted properties. Baystar also designed and built a large steel framed and clad barn to house the plant.
