An impressive equestrian estate with an Olympic dressage training yard, with ancillary accommodation, and substantial 8 bedroom house featuring a large indoor pool, set in 150 acres of woodland and fields.
The requirement was to generate electricity for use on the estate as well as provide heating and hot water for three buildings and the indoor pool.
Baystar installed a 50kW solar PV system on a south-facing barn (40m across) to generate electricity for use on the estate which will substantially cut fuel costs and generate the FIT tariff.
Baystar also installed a 195kW multi- fuel Biomass boiler with burner, adapting the existing boiler-room and linking the three properties with a district heating system.
The fuel cost saving on this project has been approximately 50%.
