The simple answer is yes, however there are a few other things you have to consider when having a heat pump that provides both heating and cooling. Firstly, do you want the unit to be able to provide heating and cooling at the same time? If so this will limit the makes of heat pumps available. Secondly you will need to consider the heat delivery side of the system such as the radiators or underfloor heating. Basically cooling is better being delivered via air blow where as heating is better through underfloor heating or radiators. Cooling has little effect when being delivered through radiator and is very slow to respond when going through underfloor so you will need to consider he cost of installing two heating circuits, one for the heating and one for the cooling with fan coils.
