A unique flour mill that has been converted into a theatre seating 200 people.
The requirement was to design and install a sustainable energy solution, and the stream that used to power the mill was the natural choice for a renewable heat source. Given the historic significance of the mill, great care of both the property itself and the surrounding aquatic wildlife had to be taken.
Baystar installed a 75kW water source heat pump, utilising energy blades within the water, to provide heating and hot water to the theatre.
A project of this size will have a fuel cost saving will be approximately 70%.
