A stunning1890’s 9-bedroom manor house and country estate with a 2 bed-room flat, 2 bedroom cottage, 3 bedroom house and an outdoor pool in the South Downs National Park area.
The requirement was to design and install a renewable energy system which would be able to provide heating and hot water for the 4 properties and heat the outdoor swimming pool in the summer.
Baystar installed a 199kW woodchip biomass boiler and a district heating system. Baystar also constructed a plant-room and a fuel store to house the woodchips.
A project of this size has a fuel cost saving of approximately 30%.
