Baystar were approached to install a roof mounted solar array in Leatherhead, due to it being commercial it was already three phase and already had a single EV charger on site. The Client was able to get a commercial grant for energy saving material from their local council.
Baystar installed 24no. 410W panels on two roof areas at the front connected to a 8kW hybrid inverter coupled with 9kW of battery storage. In the models prior to installation adding a battery improved the self consumption by 7%, due to their large consumption the battery will allow the business to utilize an additional 764kW over the year that would have otherwise been ‘sold’ back to the grid for a pittance.
