The requirement was to provide heating and hot water for the 4 buildings. There was also the potential future addition of an indoor swimming pool, which could be incorporated into the system.
Baystar installed a 199kW biomass boiler (woodchip and pellet) and district heating system. A fuel store was also fitted with a hydraulic lifting gull–wing roof mechanism.
