Energy Efficient Systems
As the Government broadens it approach to saving energy and reducing emissions, in particular through planning legislation for new-build build homes, Baystar has responded by increasing the range of services they can offer.
On top of renewable energy services such as solar PV, heat pumps and EV chargers, Baystar can now offer Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) as an installation service across, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London and the south of England.
What is MVHR?
For the uninitiated, Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery or MVHR is the circulation, filtration and in some instances heating/cooling of air in the home or commercial space, through ductwork from a centralised fan unit. This unit draws fresh air in from atmosphere, filters it and then tempers it with the heat from ‘dirty’ exhaust air that is drawn from rooms in the house.

Using this technology means that houses with MVHR systems installed can see up to a 90% reduction in heat loss via this mechanically controlled air change system, when compared with window trickle vents or air bricks, which typically can account for up to 25% of the heat loss within a building.
Results
This technology, in conjunction with renewable technologies can provide uncompromised levels of comfort, low running costs and incredible reductions in local carbon dioxide emissions.
As an MVHR installer the selection of quality equipment and installation methodology make the difference. We install radial ductwork, which requires less of a void for duct to run in, reduces noise levels in the home and reduces fan speed to increase efficiency.
We also have a aligned ourselves with best in class manufacturers such as Nilan, Zehnder and Ubbink, so you know you will get a reputable brand along with strong UK market presence.
